Academic Qualification; Minimum 2 years Certificate or Diploma in Caregiving or Health Services support or enrolled nurse.


Duties and Responsibilities of a Caregiver in Germany

  1. Providing personal care to the individual, including assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and eating.
  2. Supporting daily living activities, such as cooking, cleaning, laundry, and shopping.
  3. Accompanying clients to medical appointments or administrative visits, and assisting with taking medications as prescribed.
  4. Encouraging mobility and physical activity to help maintain independence and prevent immobility.
  5. Monitoring the individual's health condition and reporting any changes to medical professionals or family members.
  6. Offering social and emotional support, including companionship, conversation, and engaging activities.
  7. Documenting care activities and observations in accordance with legal and professional standards.
  8. Following hygiene regulations and safety protocols within the home or care facility.
  9. Treating care recipients with respect and empathy, regardless of their background, religion, or health status.
  10. Cooperating with doctors, therapists, and family members to ensure comprehensive and effective care.
