Job Description

Tabor Training Institute (www.tabor.ac.ke) a TVETA-accredited institution committed to providing quality competency-based training, invites applications from qualified and experienced individuals to fill the position of Trainer – Beauty Therapy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver practical and theoretical lessons in Beauty Therapy / Hairdressing / Cosmetology in accordance with the CBET curriculum (Level 3 & 4).
  • Prepare lesson plans, schemes of work, and trainees’ assessment tools.
  • Supervise and assess trainees’ practical work and maintain training records.
  • Ensure adherence to occupational health and safety standards within the training salon.
  • Participate in curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Mentor and guide trainees on professional conduct, career development, and entrepreneurship in the beauty industry.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Hairdressing, or Cosmetology from a TVETA-accredited or recognized institution (e.g., NITA, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
  • Must have at least 2 years of post-qualification industry or teaching experience.
  • Possession of Training of Trainers (ToT) certification will be an added advantage.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a trainer with TVETA.
  • Excellent practical skills in beauty therapy, hairdressing, nail technology, and customer service.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
