Job Description

ROLE SUMMARY

The Marketing Officer is responsible for the marketing of products and services, recruitment and retention of members, and increasing the Organization’s market share.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

(i) Recruit new members.

(ii) Admit members in the system.

(iii) Organize and coordinate member education and training.

(iv) Participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies for existing and new clients.

(v) Respond and resolve client and member queries in a timely manner.

(vi) Conduct regular member visits and report major issues of concern for action or direction.

(vii) Management of assigned sponsors/clients, ensuring effective client relations and retention.

(viii) Participate in development of Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials and ensure effective distribution.

(ix) Actively participate in organizing and coordinating events and exhibitions for the promotion of products and services to capture potential markets.

(x) Actively follow up new leads and referrals resulting from enquiries, field activity and promotions.

(xi) Monitor, analyze and review customer retention data and use findings to improve prospect targeting and conversion to customers.

(xii) Gather market information to assist in planning and decision making.

(xiii) Collection of contribution remittances after recruitment

(xiv) Collect and forward monthly contribution schedules for member updates

(xv) Timely delivery of statements and other correspondences to members

(xvi) Collect and forward accurate and complete claim documents

(xvii) Identify risks and report risk related incidents

(xviii) Assist in the preparation and implementation of divisional workplan, budget and procurement plan.

(xix) Monitor and report on individual performance targets.

(xx) Comply with laws, regulations, standards, internal policies, and procedures.

(xxi) Prepare and submit timely reports and information for decision making.

(xxii) Any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

\\tREQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

(i) Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following fields:-Marketing, Communication or any other Degree in Social Sciences

(ii) Proficiency in Computer Applications.

(iii) Fulfil the requirements of Chapter 6 of the Constitution

(iv) Good communication and interpersonal skills

vii. A valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (not more than 6 months)

viii. A current application for clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission
